About
I'm Kim. About Kimberly Robbins, B2B marketing leader
I've been doing marketing for twenty-five plus years, which means I've worked through more 'next big things' than I care to mention. I'm here for you, AI!
The short version: I am a B2B marketing leader. My work has spanned technology, staffing, SaaS, and professional services, across demand generation, content, positioning, marketing operations, customer acquisition, and go-to-market strategy. Startups, companies in the middle of growing up, and global organizations with more process than anyone strictly needed.
What twenty-five plus years have taught me
- Strategy is useless without execution. The best plan I ever wrote failed without oversight and staff.
- Marketing and sales need each other. Period.
- Technology does not fix bad data. It just distributes it faster and with pretty dashboards.
- Customers are people. They are busy, skeptical, and rarely behave the way that will fit nicely into a funnel or flywheel.
- Measurement matters. Not everything measurable matters, and you need the judgement to know the difference. If it isn’t measured, it isn’t managed.
- Curiosity is not a nice-to-have. It is the only way to not drown in a sea of technology, acronyms, algorithms, and constantly changing expectations.
- Experience makes you more inclined to question your assumptions, not less.
More about me
Community and volunteer work consume a large part of my life. Food insecurity is a cause I advocate for, along with reading, family, friends, and the mostly unglamorous work of building communities where people share common interests, ideals, and sometimes a goal.
I also like wine, and I believe most marketing problems become at least slightly less problematic when discussed over a decent glass of it.
